Daily English Crumbs (Intermediate): The Letter Soup Story

Vydáno dne 23.03.2009

Things happen, huh? And here comes a story where today's activity begins.

Not a long time ago, I was sitting in a canteen, sipping a soup. But it was a magic soup, actually. I could find many pasta letters in it. And you know - letters make words! I got so distracted by connecting the letters into words that the soup got cold. Well, it was cheap and I had some fun with it, so I left the canteen hungry but happy.

I have cooked a letter soup for you too! Here it is. It is not very tasty, so just keep playing and do not mind letting it get cold.

Letter Soup

1/ Make words and expressions (you can use each letter only once), try to use as many letters as you can so that as few as possible are left in the end. Once you have used all the letters or only useless letters are left, you can start again.

2/ Make short sentences with these letters (in each sentence you can use each letter as many times as they are available in the picture; apostrophes and any other non-letter characters can be used as you need).

Examples:

Next day I'll die.
Sell me.
Read it.
