pickaxe - krumpáč a large tool that can be used for digging holes, especially in hard ground

pin - špendlík a long thin piece of metal with a sharp point at one end

pincers - kleště, štípačky an instrument made by two crossed pieces of metal, it is used for holding things firmly, pulling out nails etc.

pitchfork - vidle a tool used by farmers, it has long sharp points and a long handle

safety pin - zavírací špendlík a kind of pin whose point is hidden and cannot be dangerous

sandpaper - smirkový papír, pískový papír paper with grains of sand on it that is used to make a surface smooth etc.

saw - pila, pilka a metal instrument with a row of sharp teeth and a handle that is used to cut wood or metal etc.

scissors - nůžky a tool used for cutting things, such as paper, hair, etc., it consists of two long, sharp pieces of metal

screw - vrut a pointed piece of metal that is used to hold two things together or to fasten something on a wall etc., it is put in place by turning it round and round.

Okruhy přibývají neustále. Je jich už několik stovek. Viz celá sekce "Okruhy slovní zásoby"
