My favourite book is a biography "Madeleine" written by Madeleine Albright.
I have never been much into biographies and similar sort of stuff. I decided to make an exception this time and I dived into reading of this book. One could say, "Well, biography what sort of plot could it have? Boring stuff.". I was of same opinion by the time I read through the first pages of the book. Then I realized, that it is not only a story describing how one's american dream came true, but moreover it is something like textbook of history. With stunning and incredible easiness, Madeleine describes her life begining with her early childhood, her adventures with her parents, escape of her family from the former communist Czechoslovakia and finally she ushers the reader into her american dream. Everything seems to be unbelievable like in a fairy tale. One could hardly believe, that the ordinary girl will once lead the foreign policy of the USA. She devoted her life to make world a better place. Read the book and make your own decision, whether she succeeded or not.

"Big Brother is watching you!"
Big Brother isn't only a commercial experiment with several people spending their lives in a colourful villa, but also (and maybe for some people suprisingly) an ingenious quotation from my very favorite book. Some people could think of it as an overusing the great ideas, but the million-strong reality show and a book from George Orwell really have something in common. Both of them have their jails, and moreover, their WATCHERS.

It's all about Winston Smith a clerk the Ministry of Truth. Winston is an ordinary man, but with something unpardonable in his mind. There's no room for your thoughts and no room for thinking at all. But in this world appeared a man, who is similar to us. A man, who can doubt. It's really dangerous thing to doubt in Oceania, you can be "vaporized" (killed) for that. Winston finally falls in love with Julia and they are planning a revolt with O'Brien. But then something terrible happend.
This book amazed me very much and it took me a long time to absorb it. It's still actual today, when we have a look at the dictatorships that still exists.

Title: Honeymoon to Jilji
Author: Miroslav Skala
"Honeymoon to Jilji" is a humorous novel by a Moravian writer and playwright Miroslav Skala. It is about a pre-marital journey of a young couple who wants to find out whether they are really well-matched each other.
"Honeymoon to Jilji" is told by a single young man who has planned an adventurous trip full of tests and traps for his girlfriend. He got his inspiration from his parents who had got married at Jilji. Thanks to these tests he wants to make himself sure that his girlfriend is kind and intelligent, adaptable and "resistant". The couple travels over the mountains and water according to a plan by the young man beforehand. Typically, nothing happens as he has presumed and, the clueless girl turns up to be the winner.
Miroslav Skala presents himself a skilful narrator, uncovering the man's world without mercy. He is aware of the fact that although "a man knows everything better", there are situations when a woman proves brighter and acts faster.
The book is fairly short and well written. I liked it because it is an entertaining and a "true story". This book gave me a chance to see and understand the man's world. It simply caught me from the beginning. I can warmly recommend this book to anyone, it doesn't matter whether you are single, divorced or thinking of getting married. I'm sure you will love it.
