POZOR: Stejné hádanky si můžete vyzkoušet jako poslechové cvičení zde: Riddles #1 (poslechová verze). To je určeno o něco pokročilejším studentům, protože při poslechu si není možné snadno vyhledávat neznámá slovíčka.
Možná jste četli Tolkienovu knihu The Hobbit, nebo čtvrtou část Kingovy ságy Temná věž: Wizard and Glass. V obou těchto románech je zajímavá hádanková soutěž. Zatímco v Hobitovi Bilbo soupeří s Glumem, v Temné věži Roland a jeho společníci mají za protivníka ďábeský rychlovlak Blaine. Některé z hádanek, které se v těchto knihách objevily, jsou použity v tomto cvičení.

Můžete se samozřejmě pokusit najít řešení každé hádanky sami. Váš úkol je ale ve skutečnosti daleko snazší. Přiřaďte ke každé hádance jednu z nabízených odpovědí. Na závěr klikněte na 'Vyhodnotit' a přečtěte si ke každé hádance vysvětlení (přejeďte ukazatelem myši přes zelenou či červenou ikonku vedle vaší odpovědi).
