An interesting place in Europe
Why is this touristic destination popular?
Every place has to have something special to become a favourite touristic destination. People have different demands and desires, thus different sights can be interesting for various kinds of tourists. For example every capital should be the most interesting city of its country, the question is, which one is the most interesting in whole Europe. I would say, that one of the most breath-taking places in Europe is Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic.
According to a research, Prague belongs to the ten most visited cities in Europe. To emphasize this statement, it is necessary to explain the significance of this city for tourists. Prague is located in the heart of Europe and it offers almost all kinds of entertainment. Firstly, it is a historical city, where you can find picturesque houses, hundreds years old churches and astonishingly beautiful castle. Secondly, it is a city of culture with numerous art galleries, concert halls, and world-famous theatres. Thirdly, Prague has sundry primacies, for instance beer factories, black light theatres, architecture, the oldest university in central Europe, the oldest carousel and a lot more. On the whole, Prague is a centre of history, culture and modern life, which can satisfy even the most finicky tourist.
On the other hand, there are a lot of foreign cities, which are bigger and more popular. For instance Paris, Rome, London. These cities are older and more visited than Prague. As an illustration, everybody knows location of the Big Ben or the Eiffel tower, less people can say, where is the Petřín hill or the Moldau River. Moreover, plenty of tourists do not even know, where Prague is.
To sum up, Europe itself is a historical and cultural centre, therefore it is practically impossible to appoint the best city. I am of the opinion, that everyone should be proud of his own country. With this in mind, I personally prefer Prague.
