My hometown – Písek

This royal town is situated on the south of the Czech Republic.
This town has about 30 thousands of inhabitants. The town was founded by Czech kings in the half of 13th century. The river which flows across the city has the old Celtic name, Otava.

The main reason to visit this town is Stone Bridge (Kamenný most).

Stone bridge:
• the 111 m long and 4.5 m wide
• the eldest gothic stone bridge in the Czech lands
• the second eldest in the whole central European region
