With the patient standing, apply the brace shells to the leg( do not apply straps at this stage) and adjust the varus/valgus alignment to fit the contour of patient's led. Instructions for hinge adjustment:

Your package comes with 10 degree extension stops. To install stops, insert into hinge and align with the holes in the hinge plate, then insert the screw. Using a Phillips head screwdriwer, ensure that the screws are seated in the recess and completely tightened. Both medial and lateral stops must be identical in degree.

Stojícímu pacientovi přiložte výztuhy k noze (v této fázi nepoužívejte popruhy) a nastavte vybočení tak aby odpovídalo pacientovu tvaru. (nohy do O nebo do X) Nastavení se provádí nimbusovým klíčem, „klenební“ šroubky jsou umístěny těsně nad a pod kolením kloubem. „Klenba“ bude jakoby „volná“ když se dostane do neutrální pozice. Ujistěte se že horní i dolní šroubky jsou nastaveny stejně. Jakmile je nastavení kompletní, pokračujte krokem A

Balení obsahuje desetistupňové zarážky. Pro jejich montáž je vložte je do kloubu a seřiďte s otvory v kloubní destičce, pak vložte šroubky. Použitím křížového šroubováku se ujistěte, že šroubky jsou usazeny v zápustech a pevně dotaženy. Obojí, střední i postranní musí být ve stejném úhlu.
