At the day se neříká. Ve výrazu “at the [adjective] day” se “[adjective] day” rozumí jako akce nebo událost, nikoliv časově, čili kde?, ne kdy?

On the day, ale What's on at the Golf Day?; in the evening, ale at the Parents' Evening be prepared to listen to what the teachers have to say; in the morning, ale Everyone really banded together at the Coffee Morning and showed their support for fundraising.

Stejně je tomu v případě This is the money made at the fundraising day. Rozumí se “at the (events on the) fundraising day”.
