Mohu použít po záporných slovech, které spouštějí inverzi, -ing formu?

Not until finishing it, was I happy. No sooner than finishing it, was I happy.

Theoretically yes, you can say not until finishing it was I happy. It's not grammatically incorrect, but inversion constructions are formal and don't really fit in conversational style, and there's no good reason to use the „not until“ construction when other constructions sound more idiomatic.

  • Only after finishing it was I happy. ☹️ (the inversion sounds formal)
  • Only after I('d) finished it was I happy. ☹️
  • I was only happy when/once I'd finished it. 🙂
  • It was only after finishing it that I was happy. 🙂

No sooner than finishing it was I happy zní kostrbatě.
