Nejsem si jistý, jak u toho chápat to ‘would‘.

would is the past tense form of will. Because it is a past tense, it is used:

• to talk about the past
• to talk about hypotheses (when we imagine something)

In your example, „would“ indicates a polite or deferential tone. In a less deferential tone, the writer could have said we emphasise the word „usually“ / we wish to emphasise the world „usually“ / we want to emphasise the world „usually“ / we will emphasise the world „usually“.
